X92.9 and Xposure are proud to present one of Canada’s favorite rock acts, illScarlett, live at Dickens on August 28th as they celebrate 20 years of their iconic EPdemic project.
Formed in Mississauga, Ontario, in 2001, illScarlett quickly built a reputation for blending alternative rock, reggae, punk and a healthy dose of attitude into something completely their own. The band’s big break came in 2004, when they famously set up their gear outside the Vans Warped Tour in Barrie, Ontario, powered by a generator, and started playing for fans waiting to get inside.
The performance caught the attention of Warped Tour organizer Kevin Lyman, who invited the band to play at his private barbecue, eventually leading to illScarlett joining the Vans Warped Tour the following year.
Since then, the band has released five major studio albums, toured across Canada, the United States, Europe and Japan, and earned a gold record in Canada for All Day With It. Now, they’re heading back to where it all began, celebrating 20 years of EPdemic with a very special show at Dickens.
They’ll be joined by special guests Coda Club.
