Make your mark in the radio world!  Not all superstars are behind a mic, some of the most fun is had behind the scenes!  Harvard Media is looking for an Accounting Coordinator.  In this newly created role, you will join our Finance Team and help support the business by providing a wide range of general accounting, bookkeeping and clerical support functions.  The position reports to the CFO. The ideal candidate must possess a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, excel at excel and interact well with others.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable management, including invoice coding and review
  • Contract management
  • Compile, enter and post monthly journal entries
  • Monthly general ledger and budget variance review
  • Credit card usage monitoring
  • Cash management, including being responsible for payments via online banking and processing cheques
  • Assist in daily cash reconciliations
  • Daily deposit and credit card processing troubleshooting and assistance
  • Assist with monthly close process, including monthly reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • 2 or more years of general accounting experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in Microsoft Business Central
  • Broadcast experience is preferred

  • Must work well in a team environment as well as independently
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize and organize in a fast-paced environment
