If you want to help support struggling musicians, now you can! MusiCares has set up a fund that began with a $1 Million donation, and is now growing with support from streaming services, major record labels, high profile musicians, and of course…you. Consequence of Sound posted the article which you can read here, and then go check out this site where you can read more about where to donate, and what the money would go to, and what the stipulations would be to be eligible for the financial help. The plan is to not support the well sustained, global superstars, but rather the artists who live paycheck to paycheck, and gig to gig to make ends meet. This is such an amazing cause, and a way to help artists who give us so much in life, but don’t have any sort of real job security, or benefits.
