The 4^th annual Burton Canadian Open Snowboarding Championships, presented by MINI, is returning to Winsport Canada’s Canada Olympic Park February 3 & 4.  Lots of great changes for the CANO this year, including new and improved halfpipe and slopestyle courses. Props to COP for doing signficant dirt work at both the halfpipe and slopestyle venues.  Halfpipe will be longer and the slopestyle will feature bigger jumps and better spacing between features.

Friday night will feature the Halfpipe Night Finals under the lights. That’s right, school is no longer an excuse to miss the biggest pipe comp in Canada followed by DJ Hedspin at the aftertparty, all right there at COP.  Plus the X92.9 Big Chief Beef Jerky Event Cruiser will be on site with samples plus a grand prize of a Burton NUG Snowboard!

On Saturday night, the CANO will throw an official bash on 17th Ave at the Ship & Anchor. Forbidden Dimension will be opening for Nightseeker. If that isn’t enough to get you out, then the drink specials, a pig roast, and appearances by Terry and Deaner from FUBAR are sure to tip your scales. Doors at 9pm; entry is first-come-first-serve.
