4 years ago, I thought burlesque was awesome, because it was generally a lot of  girls who didn’t look like strippers, generally with some rad tattoos, taking off their clothes to cool music. It was cool for a while, then it seemed like every time I went to a show there was a burlesque troop on the bill and one in three girls in Calgary had her hair in a  50′s up do and was either a) joining or b) starting a burlesque troop.

It was at this point I started losing interest in burlesque and went back to the French Maid. However, I may be changing my mind, particularly if anything of this genre rolls into Calgary.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present you with Star Wars Burlesque.The even had a cantina band.

Los Angeles nightspot bordello rolled out the show on the weekend to rave reviews:
