The Canadian mint is issuing this awesome looking quarter that glows in the dark and shows both what the Quetzalcoatlus dinosaur looked like as well as it’s skeletal structure. I wish this was coming into regular circulation, but it’s just a collector coin. It’s got some cool stuff going on.
According to the Royal Canadian Mint:
• For best effect, place the coin in sunlight, fluorescent, or incandescent light for 30 – 60 seconds then bring the coin into the dark to reveal the skeleton of the dinosaur!
• Turn off the lights and discover the Quetzalcoatlus’s glowing skeleton!
• Photo-luminescent effect will not wear!
• Limited to 30,000 coins worldwide.
• Designs approved by the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology.
I wish all of our money had bad ass creatures on it instead of old white people.
