American sports writer Gil Lebreton compared the Canadian flag waving of the 2010 Olympics to that of the 1936 Olympics hosted by Nazi Germany. Needless to say a lot of people are pissed, including myself. Enjoy:

Now, Lebreton has limped out with a half hearted apology, but the Vancouver Sun has completely hammered the Texan here and The Calgary Herald’s Don Braid has let Mr. Lebreton have it with both barrels.

Unfortunately, Mr. Lebreton wasn’t the only one to knock Vancouver’s patriotism after the games were over. USA today did a fine job of that, as did Sean Gregory in Time Magazine.
