In case you haven’t heard: Against Me’s frontman Tom Gabel is transgendered and will now be referred to as Laura Jane Grace. There is a pretty interesting article here about the transition and about the band, who is working on a new album with Laura as the singer. Now, I don’t wanna sound like an ass here, but I know I’m going to…Laura Jane Grace ain’t too pretty right now. Mind you she hasn’t gone through all the sex changing things yet.

So if Laura Jane Grace ends up looking pretty hot as a full fledged woman, I think Against Me! could be one of the biggest rock bands out there for a while. Sure, they won’t really be famous for their music, but who is nowadays? It’s all about image. And a transgendered front woman of a punk band- that’s bound to sell a few records.
