So this morning I came into work and saw that I had received an e-mail from our IT guy Taj. This is what it said…
Dear Everyone Who Works In This Building:
I don’t suppose I could bother you guys to vote for my daughter on this band aid brand singing thing?

Thanks
Taj
I voted for his kid because he fixes my computers, although I do not believe in “cute kid” competitions. I’m not sure if this is because I myself was a very ugly child, or because I don’t think that kids should be exposed to what it feels like to be a loser at such a young age. Taj’s daughter is cute, very cute. Vote for her or something. I just couldn’t imagine telling a lil’ one that they didn’t win because they just weren’t cute enough. What are your thoughts?
To add to this post I have decided to blog very ugly babies in support of those who won’t win “cute” competitions. I realize a lot of these look fake (could you imagine the soccer Mom outrage if they didn’t), but I assure you they’re real.

This is awsome I assume. Unfortunately I haven’t actually tried it because our computers here at the office are slightly ghetto. I do know this is where you go to make your own Arcade Fire video….

The band has teamed up with Google and Director Chris Milk to have the music video for “We Used To Wait” take place on the street that YOU grew up on. Neato gang…

There’s one for boys and girls! Guys maybe you can explain to me why you would ever opt for something that looks like a robot death claw. This is how they work…

The device is attached to the accessory port on a Nintendo Wii* remote control. The control is then connected to a bluetooth enabled PC running Mojowijo software. Using Mojowijo’s patent pending Motion2Vibration technology, the device is able to transform the varying motions of the control into appropriate vibration signals and send them to another selected device – in the same room or over the internet. (Wii gaming console NOT required). Essentially turning your Wii remotes into shared, remote controlled vibrators (aka wii vibrator or wiibrator!)
Princess Peach it’s on like Donkey Kong!

I was talking about this story earlier today. I said I was on the strippers side, but at the same time… Ladies you could have classed it up with jeans and a t-shirt before hitting the church for your protest.
Here’s the story:
Ohio strippers are protesting outside a church whose members are trying to put their club out of business.
Bikini-clad protesters sit in deckchairs outside New Beginnings Ministries church, in Warsaw, during Sunday services.
They launched the picket after congregation members photographed strip club customers’ number plates and asked if their wives knew where they were.
The Fox Hole club, which lies about nine miles from the church, has offered a truce, reports the BBC.
But the pastor has refused, saying “as a Christian community, we cannot share territory with the devil”.
“Light and darkness cannot exist together so the Fox Hole has got to go,” said Pastor Bill Dunfee.
Some strippers hold signs bearing Christian messages such as “Jesus loves the children of the world”.
“Everybody has sinned, and that doesn’t mean I’m not going to get into heaven,” said Fox Hole stripper Laura Meske, 42.
“I believe in Jesus. I don’t believe what they preach. They preach hate.”
The confrontations between the two camps have so far been largely friendly, with Mr Dunfee and congregants greeting and chatting to the strippers outside the church.
Here’s the ladies:

Thanks to www.billboard.com for this…
Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and the Dixie Chicks‘ Natalie Maines were the two big headliners at the West Memphis Three benefit in Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday night (Aug. 28). But lo and behold, some other famous faces showed up at Robinson Hall to lend their support to overturning the murder convictions of the three locals who many feel are innocent.
In addition to a set by Ben Harper, Joseph Arthur and Dhani (son of George) Harrison’s band Fistful of Mercy, the “Voices For Justice” event found, at one point, the unusual trio of actor Johnny Depp (yes, that Johnny Depp, on guitar no less), Eddie Vedder and Patti Smith sharing a song, Smith’s “Dancing Barefoot,” before everyone involved hopped on the stage for the very appropriate Smith tune “People Have The Power.” But don’t just take our word for it. Here are the videos:
Designed by Yeongwoo Kim, the “Eco Urinal” is pretty awesome. After you drain the snake, you wash your hands (not your butt) in the sink above, and your dirty sink water flushes the urinal. It saves water! It also increases space in the washroom, so hippies you won’t have to wait as long to avoid the hand-washing step.

PARIS: I’m sorry officer but clearly this isn’t my purse I’m carrying! Look…it’s not a designer label, I use designer toilet paper…
OFFICER: I don’t know Paris Hilton…
PARIS: Ok, how about this…my little dog bought it?
OFFICER: Is that the dog from the Taco Bell commercials?
PARIS: No…
OFFICER: Then I’m not buying it…
PARIS: I thought it was gum?
OFFICER: Nope.
PARIS: I thought it was powdered water!
OFFICER: First of all that’s effing cool. Second of all, you’re off the hook.
It’s actually been around for a while but did you know that powered water exsists?! It looks like cocaine and it consists of 95 percent water and yet is a dry powder. Each powder particle contains a water droplet surrounded by modified silica, the stuff that makes up ordinary beach sand. The silica coating prevents the water droplets from combining and turning back into a liquid. The result is a fine powder that can slurp up gases, which chemically combine with the water molecules to form what chemists term a hydrate.
There’s also other potential uses for dry water such as jumpstarting chemical reactions and providing a safer way to transport and store harmful industrial materials.
