The stigma with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is costing lives. Stand up against the stigma and show those who suffer that there is no shame, but there is Hope.
Tickets for the fundraising Gala – PTSD911: An evening of Hope – February 5th at the Metropolitan Conference Centre are available now.
A Gala is to raise awarness about Post-Tramatic Stress Disorder in first responders – including members of the Canadian Armed Forces, Police Officers, Fire Fighters, Paramedics, Dispatchers, Alberta Health Services and Corrections Officers.
Hosted by Ivolution INC. in collaboration with Wounded Warriors Canada.
Attendees will also include members from Military Minds, CanPraxis, Calgary Fire Department and Calgary Police Service. As an advocacy campaign we hope to raise public awareness about Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and to create a sustainable network of national resources that are accessible to all first responders and their families. To assist in making these critical resources available, half of all ticket sales will be donated to Wounded Warriors Canada. Throughout the evening various fundraiser events will take place, including a silent auction, in support of the Sheepdog Lodge and the Firefighter Assistance Charitable Society.
